4 Things I Love for Fall

By Jeanine Edwards, Senior Editor of MOMfinds.com

It’s always sad to see summer go, but there’s no denying fall fashion makes it a little easier to part ways. There’s just something  thrilling about a new season and new trends that makes sending off the sunny weather not so bad.

This fall, children’s fashion is arguably better than it’s ever been. And yes, that’s for girls and boys. The hottest trends are cute without being kiddie, sophisticated without being too grown up.

It was definitely hard to choose, but here are 4 of my favorite kids’ fashion trends for fall.

1. Colorblock. Autumn isn’t typically characterized by bright colors, but that’s what makes colorblock so exciting. You can invest in pieces that feature two or more eye-catching hues or just do it yourself. Pair a solid top in a bold color with something equally bold on bottom and voila! you’ve mastered colorblocking.

2. Leopard Print. I know animal print for kids seems little out there, but it works. And it’s everywhere. Justin Bieber recently wore a pair of leopard print sneakers and now there are tons of animal print shoes, plus pants, tops and more. Go ahead–walk on the wild side! (Dress by US Angels)

3. Colored Denim. Basic blue jeans will always be a staple, but let’s face it–they’re kind of boring. So spice things up this season with some colored jeans for your kid. From pink and purple to red and green, the colors span the rainbow and look good on kids of all ages. (Red denim jeans by Polarn O Pyret)

4. Boots! Boots are always popular come fall, but I promise you’ve never seen boots as cute as the ones you’ll see this fall. Think suede and patent leather boots for girls and polished desert boots for boys. (Boots by Primigi)
